progress our students make as a huge accomplishment, and I really enjoy sharing that accomplishment with staff and family. I take a great deal of pride and dedication working in the classroom. I couldn’t ask for a better job! I have been married to my husband, Sonny, for 11 years. We have a little family with two kids; Angelo, 17 (who is a senior this year), and Asia 12, (who starts junior high this year). We also have two cats, Priscilla and Juice. Oh, and two birds! I love my family very much and am very grateful for them each and everyday! We like to do everyday typical things, movies and dinner on weekends, the occasional family get-to-gethers and occasional camping trips. Every Friday is pizza night in my house! We are huge football fans, so every Sunday during football season we have hot wings, chips and an assorted spread to we watch the games. My husband and daughter are HUGE Raider fans, as my son chooses to be different and is a Steelers fan, I’m neutral, supporting both, this can become difficult when they play each other!
hiking and playing tennis. I was the captain of my team in high school. Having a mom who was a special education teacher and a huge mental health advocate, I spent a lot of time growing up volunteering in behavior units and functional skills classrooms. I actually worked for NUAP from 2013-2015, until I moved to North Carolina. I moved back to Utah in March and I’m incredibly excited to be here and to be working with such an amazing program!
One of my favorite hobbies are spending time with my fiancé and siblings. Reading any book I can get my hands on and binge watching shows on Netflix.
I started working with this program when I was a senior in high school. I came here as an intern for the year. I spent the summer after graduation tending two kids while there parents were working. Then I decided to see if this program had any job openings witch they did and have been working here for almost two years now as an aide.
I love this job so much especially getting to know the kids and becoming involved with there life. To the point I decided I want to work with these kids for my career. I have chosen to become a special education teacher which is my major that I’m doing at Weber State University.
apart from each other. I been with NUAP for 2 yrs. now and I love it here I couldn't find any better job out there for me then NUAP it’s an awesome program, with awesome co-workers, and awesome kids.
at NUAP. I have worked here for a little over 7 years and I am what they call the floater. I will be in all 3 classrooms throughout the year. I’m really excited to get to know all 36 kiddos. I’m very mothering and nurturing so don’t be surprised if you see me comforting or soothing your child. I have a big heart and I love to take a kid under my wing and help any way possible. BRING ON THE SCHOOL YEAR!
