About Us

Who We Are

Est. in 1998, the Northern Utah Autism Program (NUAP) is a pre-school program for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The program is offered through Weber Human Services (serving Ogden School District and Davis School District) and offers researched-based therapeutic approaches to growth and development. Many of these focuses include attention behaviors, language and cognition, self-help, social skills, and parent contact.
NUAP serves 24 children between the ages of 3 - 5. The program is divided into two classrooms of twelve children each with one lead teacher, two additional teachers, and two aides. NUAP's staff also consists of a program manager, child psychiatrist, and others who play an important role in the program.

Alexis B       Program Manager

My name is Alexis and I have had the privilege of being a part of the Northern Utah Autism Program for 20 years.  After spending 12 years as an instructor in the classrooms, I was excited to expand my role at NUAP to being the Program Manager.  With a team of amazing and creative teachers, I am committed to providing your family with a loving and developmentally sound foundation for a lifetime of learning.  I was born and raised in Ogden, Utah.  I married my husband in August of 2001 and this year we will celebrate 23 years of marriage.  I have two beautiful daughters and one handsome son.  I also have one fur baby named Kai.  When I am not working I love spending time with my family.  In the summer we love to go camping and enjoy the outdoors.  Thank you for sharing a part of your child's life with us!
