Est. in 1998, the Northern Utah Autism Program (NUAP) is a pre-school program for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The program is offered through Weber Human Services (serving Ogden School District and Davis School District) and offers researched-based therapeutic approaches to growth and development. Many of these focuses include attention behaviors, language and cognition, self-help, social skills, and parent contact.
NUAP serves 24 children between the ages of 3 - 5. The program is divided into two classrooms of twelve children each with one lead teacher, two additional teachers, and two aides. NUAP's staff also consists of a program manager, child psychiatrist, and others who play an important role in the program.
